When I have way too many things going on in my life, at one time, then things like this happen.
Can you guess what it is?
Can you guess what it is?
It's a burn, on my beloved table in the studio, from my iron.
*As soon as I did this I instantly thought of when I was around the jr. high age and my cousin, who was around the same age, was ironing her clothes and dropped a hot iron on the top of her leg and she had a burn just like the above picture, but on her leg. Yes, I said a burn that looked just like this iron, but on her leg-Ouchy wah wah!*
So getting on with my story-
I plugged my iron in and just put it face down on my cutting table, because I apparently turned my brain off for some reason.
Why you might ask would I do something so ridiculous?
Because I like to leave my mark on whatever I do, obviously, duh.........
or
Because I think, for some reason, I might have early onset self diagnosed dementia.......
or
Because, as I stated earlier, I had way too many things going on and my mind, mouth, eyes, and hands all work together, but at different times and that is never a good combo.....
Now, when I get too busy and going in too many different directions this will be a reminder for me to slow down.
Oh, the irony of it all-
Get it?
The irony of it all~
(giggle giggle giggle)
Hence, the forever iron stained table in the pics above.

I know this is terrible, but what a funny story. The best part was that you like to leave your mark on whatever you do...duh! I'm sorry you burned your cutting table, but thank you for the laugh. Slow down Nikki. Give your brain time to catch up or you'll have a big ol' mess! I'm one to talk. I have to read your mishap stories to make me feel better about my days! haha! Love ya!
Break out the spray paint!!!
I have a sort of related story. On Thursday, Aubrey was using his new cutting tool to chop the top off of a dresser for me. His safety glasses were slipping and he reached up to adjust them and burned the side of his face! So since Thursday he has been walking around with a perfect burn mark of a Rockwell power tool on the side of his face!! It is terrible and I am praying it does not scar him!
You have certainly left your 'mark' there! Now you have a new conversation piece!
It could have been worse...it could have been on one of your masterpiece pillows! Whew....
Liza-I knew you would totally appreciate the "irony" of my life-I'm always happy to make your days a little better-LOL!!! Love you, too!!!!
Angela-Poor Aubrey!!! I hope he's not scarred for life either-ouch! That has to hurt so bad-I can't imagine, Geez!!!
Tina-You are so right-thankfully the "pillow masterpieces" (giggle giggle)were on the other table, at the time-HAHAHAHA! What the heck was I thinking, Tina, I mean really? Who plugs on iron in and lays it flat? I have never done that in my life-Such a goofball-LOL!
Oh, you are HILARIOUS!! and i always say "a funny story is worth ruining something any day!!" i don't always say that, but now that i've said it, i'm going to!!
chinamommy-I like how you just coined your very own phrase right on my blog-LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!
