So, we survived yet another weekend in the heat, because we swam all weekend and stayed cool.
We cooked out and actually ate out, too.
Menu
Brats on the grill, mac n cheese, baked beans, garden tomatoes, corn on the cob and apple cinnamon applesauce. Totally a summer meal and delish!

My mouth is watering just typing it out.
We don't eat out that often so it's kind of a big deal. I used one of my birthday gift cards to take us all out to dinner which is how I like to pay.
We had pizza, pizza bread, chef salads and some chilli.
Scrumptious!

Here is what I am looking forward to this week (T.V. wise)
1. "Family Jewels" (Gene Simmons from KISS) and it's on Tuesday night. It's the season finale. Will Shannon Tweed say yes to marrying him or not?
2. "Roseanne's Nuts" on Wednesday on Lifetime. Yes, Roseanne Barr lives on a nut farm in Hawaii and this interests me on so many levels.
So there's my television excitement.
I would also like Mario, the outside security cat, to calm himself down around me, because he's making me quite crazy. He will not leave me alone as in intertwining in my feet and clawing at me when I turn my back. He's a big Maine coon cat that is around 3 years old or so and I am just wondering why he is becoming so wacko. He only does this to me and no one else and it's been going on for about a 2 weeks. He's going to hurt me, because when I am walking he runs in front of me, drops to the ground at my feet, and I almost fall every time. What in the world?
I have been eating so much of our home grown fabulous Illinois sweet corn that my skin has turned yellow and my hair is now stringy. (Did you get my joke-HA) I have eaten ridiculous amounts, because sweet corn season is here for such a small amount of time and..........well..........you have to eat it. It's just how it is in the Midwest.
I have to water all of my potted plants sometimes up to three times a day lately in order to save their lives because the heat has been so intense. I always think to myself that if I were a potted plant out in the horrid heat that I would crave a shower and a drink of water and so in my mind I believe since they live and grow that they deserve the same rights to survival. (I need help) A town away, from where I live, was recorded by the national weather service as having the hottest day the other day-YIKES! We live 8 miles north, so we felt the heat, too.
Charlie's old junker car died and left for the junk yard this afternoon which makes me quite happy. I don't like clutter and that was huge clutter to me. That crappy work car was worth every cent clear to the end of it's life. It was a purple Concord with so much personality, but just simply gave up.
Yes, we even named it.
So......
~RIP Grape Ape~
I saw online the other day, as I was surfing, that some company sends tiny tiny tiny mail. What a fabulous idea and why didn't I think of that? I LOVE tiny things so very much.
Click the link below to go see this tiny website with such HUGE potential.
I want a tiny package.
I want tiny mail.
I want(ed) to be the one who thought that marvelous idea up.
I love it so.
Do you love it, too?
I bet you do.......
P.S. Can someone please tell me why I am still getting zits at 37. My complexion is worse now than in my teens. Actually, I had a great complexion in my teens with the occasional ones, but this is ridiculous and I am so over it and totally grossed out.
